Description:
2ND CUT TIMOTHY HAY
- Leafier and more tender specialty cut preferred by many small pets.
- Predominantly green in color but may be mixed with a touch of yellow/brown depending on the weather and growing conditions; no additives for coloring have been added because our hay is all-natural.
- Timothy Hay has higher levels of fiber, but 2nd cutting hays have less fiber than 1st cutting hays.
- A cool season grass hay best grown in a northeastern climate.
FEEDING:
Early 1st and 1st cut Timothy hay is recommended for adult rabbits because it’s stemmier; 2nd cut is recommended for younger rabbits or picky eaters due to its leafier texture.
STORAGE:
Hay can be stored for up to a year when kept in a cool, dry, and dark location; hay must be allowed to breathe to prevent condensation and mold.
