OUR FAMILY FARMING STORY:

The FarmerDave family has been farming for more than 100 years. Our story began in 1922 when Bernard immigrated to the United States and purchased the family homestead. Since then, the farming tradition has been passed down through five generations.

Over the years, our family has raised and grown a variety of agricultural products, including chickens, apples, apple cider, and hay. In 1950, Bernard's son, Carl, purchased a second farm, which remains the primary location for growing much of our hay today.

In 1989, Carl's son, David, purchased the second farm from his father. Carl continued living on the original homestead until he passed away at the age of 92.In 2003, David and his wife, Theresa, founded FarmerDave Pet Supply on that same farm. Since then, the business has continued to grow and improve while remaining committed to quality products and family values.

In 2013, David expanded the operation by purchasing the original family homestead, where we now maintain our orchards and additional hay fields.

David and Theresa's son, Daniel, grew up working alongside both his father and grandfather on the family farms. Although he loved farming, Daniel chose to pursue a career in technology education. During that time, he met his wife, Diane, who was also a teacher.

In 2022, Daniel and Diane made the decision to leave their successful careers in education and return to the family farm in Western New York.

Today, they manage the daily operations of both the farm and the business while raising their two children, Hailey and Beau, on the same land that has supported their family for generations.
